What a great start to the new school year! Our groups are small to start, but I see them filling up very quickly. August has given us fun stories such as "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" "Each Peach, Pear, Plum" and "Goodnight Moon."
| We practicing making out weekly target sounds while rolling out play-doh. For our Goodnight Moon lesson we practiced making "moons" while focusing on using intial sounds and pushing our lips together. Some students worked on marking 3 or more syllables such as "elephant, banana, and umbrella." |
| Students practicing their target sounds by tossing a bean bag onto a flashcard and saying the word 3 times and then repeating the sentence. |
| Ms. Lorraine had a cool water experiment where the blue water went up the paper towel and the red water went up the paper towel and when the colors met in the middle, the paper towel turned PURPLE! |
| We explored textures and words like "smooth" and "rough" while making a moon and stars. |
Just a reminder that classes on Tuesday, August 28 will NOT meet due to Ms. Sarah and Ms. Lorraine being out of the district for the entire day. Monday classes will NOT meet on Monday, September 2 due to the Labor Day holiday. Tuesday classes WILL meet on Tuesday, September 3 at their usual times! Have a great week! Ms. Sarah and Ms. Lorraine
